Click on the Applications tab to see what which applications will be cleaned. You can check or uncheck these as you like. Then, all you do is click the Run Cleaner button in the lower right of the window.

The first time you run the cleaner it can take a long time. It ran for over half an hour on one of my PCs. This is good - it means the program is cleaning out thousands of accumulated files that clog your hard drive and slow down file access.

After a good cleaning, the next step is to select the Registry option. I recommend checking every box available. Click the 'Scan for Issues' button and let the program find the problems. It will show you a list of every registry problem it located. Leave all the items checked and click the 'Fix selected issues' button.

When it asks if you want to backup the registry, click the 'Yes' button. Save the backup file - I always just use the My Documents folder. That way all the backup files are in the same place and easy to find.

After the backup file is saved, another dialog box will appear. Click the 'Fix All Selected Issues' button to have the program fix everything.

That's it. You have completed the core cleaning tasks with just a few button clicks. You can restart your computer and enjoy the resulting speed improvements.
